As one of the first edm festivals of the new year, Wobbleland boasts some of the biggest names in EDM in 2023. Noise Pop was created in 1993 to celebrate independent music and culture throughout the San Francisco Bay Area—so it's older than most ravers out there! Bassheads rejoice! The first Southern California bass festival of 2023 is here and it's Basscon Wasteland. With acts like Audiofreq and DJ Anime, you're going to lose your mind! When Gary Richards, aka DESTRUCTO announced that he would be leaving the annual cruise HOLY SHIP to Live Nation in 2017, he announced that something new was coming. FriendSHIP ushered in a new era for the HARD-founder's cruise festivals, and brought with it the same good vibes and family that ravers knew and love from HOLY SHIP. 2023's FriendSHIP is back! Miami is the place to be if you love house and techno. Very few festivals carry with them the scale that SXSW does. While it's not technically a music festival, SXSW is the place to be if you want to see where music, film, and tech cross paths within the industry side. Beyond Wonderland is one of the best festivals to go to if you're new to the rave scene. It's an Insomniac festival, but it's not the beast that is EDC and it's usually got a good mix of genres to pick from. Speaking of camping festivals, one of the biggest camping festivals of the year is in Rothbury, MI each summer. Electric Forest brings life to the woods with incredible art, neon forests and unforgettable vibes. Where: Scranton, PAFor anyone on the East Coast, major festivals like EDC or even Ultra might feel out of reach. Camp Bisco is the answer to that problem. A perfect festival for a first timer, Camp Bisco brings with it a killer lineup each year with good vibes and a fun camping experience. The festival hasn't officially announced its return for 2023, but we'll update here once we know.

Lollapalooza is one of the oldest festivals in the country, so you know they've had some time to create a sick event. Nashville is home to rock and country music legends, but there is no doubt that it was lacking an electronic festival that could call the city home. While it's not technically a music festival, Burning Man is one of the bigger events in the United States each year. This annual event constructs an entire city in the middle of the desert, and the experience is unlike any other. ARC Music Festival offers some of the best house and techno in Chicago, the city where house music was largely invented. The 2022 Hopscotch Music Festival brought forth some of the best names in independent music today. Where: Ninilchik, AK
Sacred Acre isn't just a festival, it's a celebration of all that is sacred in Alaska. The event doubles as a fundraiser and awareness event for the banning of trawling, a type of fishing that uses large nets and is detrimental to the ocean ecosystem. Miami's III Points Festival is one of the best house and techno festivals of the year. The perfect way to end the festival season—for fans of camping festivals at least—is with Dirtybird Campout. The annual event takes place somewhere in California (it's moved several times) and brings the old school summer camp vibes with camp games, good music and good vibes. Where: Orlando, FL
The biggest EDM festival of all moves to Orlando each November for an East Coast version. While I have heard it's a little bit stripped down compared to the Vegas festival, EDCO is still an epic festival from Insomniac. Get tickets here.
